Yr 1 Joseph Hogan Animation Journal

Hi, I'm Joe! As boring and cliché as it is, animation has shaped my childhood. Drawing has always been something I have thoroughly enjoyed, I used to create characters and comics all the time as a child. Animation is my favourite medium to create in however, since I have so much freedom of expression. One huge influence for me has been the American web-series, RWBY. I have followed this show for so many years now and I've been able to watch it evolve and grow alongside my own artistic abilities. The series creator, Monty Oum, inspired me so much with his fluid and inventive action sequences. For my electives, I chose Screenwriting to supplement my story-telling capabilities, as well as Drawing & Design Thinking in order to revisit the roots of drawing as an art form.
